169 - Legends

I've been testing my skills lately by bringing back characters that I consider to be legendary in my own universe of creation. These are the original, time-tested warriors of death that have continued their own stories within the ever-changing landscape of my own mind.

In addition to these guys being drawn/colored up, I've been hard at work writing Viral Hell into a full novel. So far, I've made it to chapter 11 of the original 22 written when I originally wrote it as a graphic novel script. It started with a standard 1 to 1 conversion ratio from script to novel, but the further I delve into the story, the more elaboration I seem to do with the novel. Rather than simply skimming the surface with certain events as I did in the script, I've taken to elaborating extensively and building more emotional conflicts amongst all the characters. At this point, in chapter 11 that is, things are so extremely different from the script that the novel now only resembles it in the rough series of events that I continue to follow. As I view it, the original script was written rather well in terms of plot points but the pacing was absolutely dreadful. Being able to rewrite it as a novel has given me a great opportunity to stretch things out, giving them more impact, and really build towards individual climaxes.

150 - Pestilent, Waste-Spewing Abomination

Hey,

Give me a big welcome back hug or something because the Nate is back in the business of destroying lives via possibly blasphemous imagery.

So to start off, I've been dealing with a shit ton of crap that I'm not going to talk about other than to say that I'm over it, mostly, and capable of imagineering more fine art. The spectacle of today's post is what I've been working on whenever my head was clear enough to do anything. It's a depiction of the four remaining Archangels in Heaven after having descended to Earth in anticipation for the war to end all wars. Starting from the left it goes: Uriel, Raphael, Gabriel and finally Michael. Each has a little thing about them that makes them quite interesting, their faces and bodies are all different and they are almost interlocked in some sort of trance of thought. The anatomy on all of them came out amazingly well and the perspective was all very well done if I do say so myself. I could go into more detail about who each of the Angels are individually, but that would take a while.

The little thing at the end is the game cover that I came up with for one of my classes. Thought I'd share it to the good people on the internet.

In Light of Darkness

Hey,
Me and Tim have been working on an idea for a future video game that could make our careers. It doesn't have a set name but we are working on it. For now, some ideas pertaining to the main character. He is a human-demon hybrid with a gauntlet that allows him to channel the powers of shadow into weapons ranging from melee weapons to full-fledged firearms and some shadow powers. The pictures might not be exactly what he is going to look like, but they are well on the way to being what we are looking for. That's all for now.

I've been fooling around with the tablet and Viral Hell which has yielded some interesting results, but none that are finished yet. More by the end of this week I hope.

Hey,

Jobs are pretty hard to come by nowadays, even the low wage ones. Even though it has only been a few days, I am still hopeful that one of the many places I applied to will reply to me about an interview. I really need a job.

Last night, I was able to finish up these sketches. Some of them are reference sheets for the characters of the Shadow Princes, but one is actually of Helena, The Shadow Princess. She took forever to finish because I haven't drawn a woman since back in the good old days of Jemina, Mary and Lea. Those days were a long time ago, so the knowledge has kind of faded, but I got it back and I was able to finish a picture of her that looks pretty good if you ask me.

Happy Late Turkey Day Mother Fuckers!!!!

Howdy!

Many things to say so I will just jump right into this.

Turkey day was last week and I hope that you all ate your fill of turkey. I know I did. I had turkey for four days straight. Turkey on turkey day, more turkey the next day, turkey salad the next and then turkey on toast with gravy the last. I don't anymore turkey right now, but I will take some pie. Just not turkey pie, only apple or chocolate.

Next, I have been spending almost all my time writing new material for the Shadow Princes. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, DO IT RIGHT NOW. THE LINK IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BLOG. I am rather proud of all the information I've accumulated in relation to this one story. I have heroes, villains, neutral characters and about a million conflicts that need resolving. I think that this story will make one of the best video games with the many factions, storylines and characters. I'll get on that as soon as I can make a video game.

I have been drawing lately but ,because I'm really slow at actually finishing pictures, it is taking forever for me to finish what I started about two weeks ago. I really want to finish it though, it's a really cool picture with a story behind it and everything. Maybe I'll finish it up later today or something.

Masturbation Hiatus. That's what I'm taking. Let me tell you, it is quite possibly one of the hardest things to do when your girlfriend is a very, very horny girl. I love that she is so horny, but its hard to keep up with the hiatus when all she wants is me to do is talk dirty to her. Not that I'm complaining. I love talking dirty to her. It just makes the hiatus hard.

Anyways, I did some drawing and sketching yesterday and this morning and the results are as follows: two pictures of Maraudos being himself. That's about it. I'm not entirely sure what to draw next, my mind has been blank for quite a while lately. It's probably the lack of gum, but I will try chewing gum later and see if I can draw something.

Updates to The Shadow Princes

Hey,

Listen here. I've been very lazy as of late because I've had classes that require my utmost attention and assignments that are less than ordinary. I haven't exactly had time to sit down and draw anything relating to anything. The only things I have been working on lately are my writing.

I've been working on the second chapter for the Viral Hell Novel, which is coming along smoothly and should hopefully be very, very good. I've also been hard at work on my other project: The Shadow Princes. Lately I've been working out all the kinks in the major factions and trying to figure out just what I would like to do with it. I'm contemplating trying to make it into some sort of RPG video game by working on game physics and all the in-game things, or turning it into some sort of basis for extensive short story work and possibly a much longer story. I'd like to know what you guys think about it and there is a link posted at the bottom of the blog so you can get to the wikispace and all the info I've created so far.

Let me know what you think about anything. I do enjoy listening to critiques and criticisms.

Hey,

I've got a brand spanking new project that I'm going to be toying with for a while. It's called "Shadow Princes" and it's about a fictional realm of humans that are under oppression of an overbearing religious government. The Shadow Princes are sort of the knights in not-so-shining armor and they help out just so that everyone else can be free, even if they don't realize they aren't. It's got a butt load of information that I'm posting on a wikispace instead of in a bunch of blog posts. The link to said wikispace is at the bottom of the blog page. Check it out and maybe you will like it or maybe you won't.

Another note: I am going back to the Viral Hell project until I finish rewriting the script, that I wrote during the second half of my senior year, into a brand spanking new Viral Hell novel. It's going to take a while but I will continue to post pictures when I can if Diana will keep me motivated like I know she will. The novel is just in the beginning parts with only once chapter finished. However, I must say that the novel itself is much more enjoyable to read then a number of dialogue sentences and the occassional descriptive paragraph. There is more detail in every character, the dialogue is less choppy and everything is more enjoyable. I hope that everyone will like it and I might be posting it on my deviant art at some point to make it open to the public, so keep an eye on any info for that in my posts.

The Epic Finale

This is it my friends, the last and final update in the string of three that has taken the last two weeks to complete. After tireless hours of mousework in photoshop and a great deal of anger at the computer for being a bitch, the whole cover is complete. It might still be too big, but if it is then what you see will simply be a sort of larger version of it and the cover itself will be smaller and more focused. That is if it is needed. What is up my homies, it has been like a fortnight since my last blog post and I've been hard at work in college and in other projects. I have two pieces that have taken a long time to do and I hope you all enjoy them. Yes, I am in college. Yes, it is cool. The name of it is New England Institute of Technology and I'm studying game development and simulation technologies. Any other dumb questions can be directed to meh. It's like June already. I graduated only three days ago. I'm now an official high school graduate! I had a nice little party on Saturday for my family and friends and Diana, thank you for deciding to come babe. It was a great party till the rain picked up and Diana had a little scare when I dropped her off. All ended up going well and now it is Monday, and I have no school. I woke up this morning after having a horrible, horrible dream about SAW III. Woke up and almost screamed I was so scared. I feel back asleep and woke up around 12 and started drawing. Just finished a little while ago. I didn't really get anything really great drawn except this one dude right here. Tomorrow is "Science Fiction Drawing Day" for me. If you have any ideas, hit me up and I'll try and draw them.

Anyways, I've had finals all week and I only failed one of them. Physhics, bleh. Aside from that one failure, I have brought more artwork and doodles for you to gawk at. I'm just that nice to you guys. You really should pay me for all this work, but I wont make you. To conclude, Diana came over meh house today and we chilled with my parents for a while. I've got two sketches of everyones favorite caped crusader: Batman. I drew them both last night, not really sure why but I really like the way they look. Batman for a nother generation I suppose. The only thing I really want to do with them is do a really nice drawing for my uncle so that I can frame it and give it to him. Batman is his favorite comic book hero, so I thought that a nice pencil sketch would be something really nice to give him. Getting Batman to pose just right, that's a different story...
