150 - Pestilent, Waste-Spewing Abomination

Hey,

It's post number 150 today. I'm not going to really do anything special except throw a bunch of recent art up on the blog and tell y'all about www.fish-wings.com. It's my new webcomic that has actually been doing pretty well since its launch on Monday. If you haven't checked it out yet then I suggest you join the party before it's too late. They Are Coming

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have an announcement to make.

Today at approximately 1:00 A.M. there was a message received via the internet that read as followed:

"In one weeks time, we will arrive in your world. Be prepared."

The message was so vague and obscure, that we do not know how to react other than to raise the threat level and wait for the designated time to arrive. We don't want to startle anyone, but we don't know what is going to happen next Monday. All we know is that you should continue your life as normal unless otherwise noted. Thank you for your time, that is all.

144 - Amerika/Moskau

Hey,

Give me a big welcome back hug or something because the Nate is back in the business of destroying lives via possibly blasphemous imagery.

So to start off, I've been dealing with a shit ton of crap that I'm not going to talk about other than to say that I'm over it, mostly, and capable of imagineering more fine art. The spectacle of today's post is what I've been working on whenever my head was clear enough to do anything. It's a depiction of the four remaining Archangels in Heaven after having descended to Earth in anticipation for the war to end all wars. Starting from the left it goes: Uriel, Raphael, Gabriel and finally Michael. Each has a little thing about them that makes them quite interesting, their faces and bodies are all different and they are almost interlocked in some sort of trance of thought. The anatomy on all of them came out amazingly well and the perspective was all very well done if I do say so myself. I could go into more detail about who each of the Angels are individually, but that would take a while.

The little thing at the end is the game cover that I came up with for one of my classes. Thought I'd share it to the good people on the internet.

143 - Indefininte

Due to my body and mind being unable to combat the growing pain within me, I have been forced to take an indefinite hiatus from art and writing. My psyche will simply not allow me to process things the way it used to and, thusly, no new ideas are flowing. I do not know when I will be back, I do not know what will happen next. Until the problems within are solved and the nightmares go away, I will be disappearing from the internet almost entirely. I am sorry for this, but it must be done.

142 - Do You Ever Lay Awake, With the Look in Your Eye?

Hey,
I worked on this Flesh Hound picturefor a bit before deciding that I had enough for tonight. It's still a WIP(Work in Progress) but it has serious potential and I think it might move on to be colored at some point. I know that the perspective is really shitty looking because there is no background, but go with it for me and tell me what you think. I went with a horned Flesh Hound this time, not sure why, but I think it made the Demon seem a great deal more brutal. That and the dead body mutilated under his body. Finish this one tomorrow hopefully.

141 - Tempest Arch

Hey,
There are more things within my mind, things I have no even imagined yet but still lurk within the darkest recesses. This is one of those things. A flesh hound, born and raised within the darkest depths of Hell to prowl amongst the living, who's sole purpose is to hunt Angels and those aligned with them to death. Claws, tusks, fangs and a body built to tear anything limb from limb makes a flesh hound a formidable foe, unless one knows how to attack one of these beasts.

140 - Painful Slumber

Hey,
I was doing some drawing lately and these are the best three that came out of the sessions. First is an Angel, unnamed with some sort of sword. Then we have an Incubi, since they have no true form I can go relatively crazy with how I think they should look. Lastly is the Main Character who finally has a name, Ferox, and he is summoning his sword from the depths of shadow. Pretty neat huh? That's all for now. There will probably be more later on today or this week.

Twelve Million Lies

Hey,
I've been pretty busy building sprites for the In Light of Darkness prototype game so I haven't had much time for regular old artwork. However, I did sneak in a few moments of drawing via tablet to create some concepts and finished pieces for the general public. What we have here are Leviathan's Axe Heads, which I would like some feedback on which one is best, a Plague Vizier, a Shade and an Angel with a sword. Anyways, I got more class now but I will be drawing throughout it to please my undying fans.

Fanaticism/Hypocrasy

Howdy,
I've been uber busy lately with all my classes and projects from school that I haven't had much time to do any artwork. I did finish this piece just two hours ago after working on it for 5 straight hours last night. It came out amazing and is one of the crown jewels in my portfolio. I hope you all like it because it is going into a game soon.

The End of All Things to Come

Hey,
I've been obsessing over this picture. It took me almost all day to figure out exactly how to do the coloring on everyone in the picture. I finally figured it out around 8 PM and have been fine tuning it ever since. Ultimately, the technique yields very nice results that creates a great sense of atmosphere and light, which is something that will play heavily on the art for ILOD(In Light of Darkness). Thought I would post a progress shot of what I've done so far. Hope you like it.

Been pretty busy lately doing all kinds of things. Came up with this idea out of no where and it has monopolized all my art time lately. I'm going to color it, but I'm still trying to figure out Corel Painter so that it can be a digital painting. If I can't figure out Painter, I'm just going to do it like I always to in Photoshop and make it look all spiffy and good. More to come.

I Think About the Implications

Hey,
I'm watching Scrubs right now and that guy from Men At Work was singing/guest starring. That's where the title comes from and it has some significant meaning. Anyways, I just finished this. It's Michael, Archangel of Wrath, and he's about to fight someone or something. I know his legs suck and the post does suck too, but I like his armor/face/sword/wings so I put it up here. Critique and Comment as usual.

There Are Only Demons In This Land

Hey,
Check it. So I've been busy with school and writing and my drawing has kinda suffered as a result. Tonight I thought I would actually finish something and I did. It's Azazel's prison in the Dudael. It's pretty cool. The big guys are his sons, the only two remaining Giants in the entire world, and they are his keepers. The second thing is a picture of an Angel that I've been toying with. It looks really cool but I have no idea where to go with it really. Probably finish that next week. Anyways, I gotta go. School in 9 hours.

We got us some rock heroes here. By day, they are your normal, friendly pet rocks and by night, they fight evil. Not a specific evil, more of a faceless, disembodied evil with lots of henchmen. So here we got Rockman and Wonder Rock Woman. Check it.

The Behemoth of the Depths

Hey,
Leviathan was once an Angel, one of the last to be birthed by God into Paradise. He was particularly strange because when his fellow Angels would look at him, his skin would appear to have something scaled moving beneath it. God paid it no heed so neither did the Angels. When the Fall came, Leviathan was off destroying Earth with his massive frame and his ability to shape shift into the form of a great Sea Serpent. When the Father finally caught up with His creation, Leviathan was already on the path of change and was no longer the Angel that his Father had birthed. A titanic clash occurred over what, at the time, was the Isle of Atlantis. God eventually won and banished Leviathan in an act that forced the Isle of Atlantis to be completely destroyed, a fact that God has never quite lived down. As a Demon, Leviathan let the Sea Serpent show through his skin and his body became warped entirely from the Angel that once was at God's side. His weapon, the Sky Shatterer, was also lost during his Fall and is rumored to be located on the Isle of Atlantis where Leviathan was defeated by his Father.

A First, In Nudity

Rawr,
It's me again and I just finished drawing my first penis. I think it looks pretty cool but don't listen to me, judge it yourself and tell me what you think. I did it all by accident. Here I was drawing away, almost finished with inking the picture and I come across the crotch. I was just like "Hey, what's the worst that could happen if I drew him a real penis instead of a bulge?" and BAM! Presto Penis. It's cool. He is rather buff compared to other renditions, but I think it works well with the overall feel. Tell me what you think and try not to stare at the penis.

Adequate, I Am

Hey,
Two quick sketches of two different breeds of Demons. The first one is a brutish demon that is primarily for destroying its foes with force, still no name yet. The second one is a caster sort of demon that is originated from a sort of punished human being. Its eyes are held open by hooks so that it can constantly observe and take in the sins of the world to convert them into raw energy. Its skinny physique is because of its lifetime spent in Hell. That's all for tonight.

Hey,
I have been so busy with school and working on projects that I have had almost no time to actually draw anything up to share. I just finished this piece today, not even ten minutes ago, and I think that the anatomy, proportions and overall mood of the piece is very appeasing. I absolutely love how this turned out and it really makes for an awesome piece that tells a small story.

All the Means of Destroying Chaos In Our Lives

Hey,
I'm completely awake at 1:20 A.M and it sucks. I just finished drawing the Main Character from In Light of Darkness after revamping my anatomy a little bit with some practice. His left(our right) arm is a little undefined, but every time I went to make it more defined something happened and it looked weird. The Circle thing is the Seal of God. It's on his breastplate and the sword he is wielding is the current idea for the Shadow Sword. It's all looking pretty good if I do say so. Check you guys tomorrow.

The Rapture, Oh The Rapture

Gigantic update today. Included are all the works that I finished over the last week which was my vacation. I am particularly proud of all of them and think that each one has its own unique sort of charm and tells a small story of sorts. These are all for In Light of Darkness.
